A Wrap Up to the Drama of the Year : Rationalizing The Most Dramatically Prolonged Political Crisis

from the Perspective of A 20 Years Old Malaysian.

I beg to lash out my most honest opinion regarding to the highly anticipated dramatic political turmoil or by proper words they say, “a new political alignment” (pensejajaran politik) which brings down a quite newly elected government. Many peoples call it the “Games of Tun” or Malaysia’s “Games of Throne” as if Tun M with his smarty ass critical unreadable mind conspire all of these upheavals and political games. But to me, I believe that the veteran statesman (negarawan) himself infact was caught in the games of his few ex-counterparts from PH. These peoples not only they had betrayed the rakyat but also betrayed Tun in the first place. The resignation ‘UNO’ card or step taken by Tun is the last choice he had when he believed that he no longer held the majority support of the Dewan Rakyat after few PH political names had turn their face away from him and the former ruling coalition bloc generally. Plus, I strongly believe he resigned because he was disappointed of the betrayal and he was in a totally sulking mood. Actually I don’t know why but some peoples especially the malays believe that everything is well planned already by Tun to unite the malay based political parties together but I don’t think so that’s what he intended to do. I know we can’t read his unique foresighted mind but I believe that everything were totally random and due to unexpected turn of events in the politics.

In this political crisis of the decade or perhaps century, I would say Azmin Ali is the main culprit of this crisis. He triggered the effort of creating a backdoor government through “Langkah Sheraton” and I believe he had co-organized this plan with UMNO especially like months ago through reported secret meeting held among the two political parties’s leaders. I don’t know his true reasoning or goals behind this agenda, whether his feud with PKR’s President , Datuk Seri Anwar has gone too far whatsoever or is it for fulfiling his personal interests, like clearing a faster path for the PM post in the future perhaps .

However I believe that he had some kind lost his principle as a totally democratic elected notable leader I would say. Previously , his fight with PH was all about reformation agenda , fighting against and topple down a cleptocratic corrupted government thus betraying the mandate of the peoples who vote for a new change in Malaysia beforein the GE-14 . And most heart shattering part, he betrayed his own friends in Pakatan Harapan who had shared the same vision as a government for 22 months to serve this country and its peoples for the remaining term until the next General Election. What about his fight against Najib’s BN government before during his tenure as the Menteri Besar Selangor. Truthfully, I kinda of admired his charisma as a leader before but now he had disappointed me and not only me but I believe thousands or maybe millions other Malaysians who vote for change on 9thMay 2018. However I am highly alert about politics, that how it works here and then. Today, I support you, tomorrow I support them and the day after tomorrow, you all support me.

At the end , its not about being anti-Umno or pro-PH here because I believe all government is more likely the same , have their bullshits , flaws and loopholes BUT at least I would say a good leader with principle is the one who honour the rakyat’s mandate first & foremost before fulfilling their own personal or party interests . However , I would not put a sole blame on him as I believe the Perikatan Nasional party components especially UMNO had played their part well too to co-organize this new government bloc or entity which topple down PH in a blink of an eye. I think this complot has taken place months ago.

I myself is a not really a supporter to any political party but I am true supporter of Tun M as our priceless statesman (negarawan) and politician who had shaped this nation into what it is today. I followed him wherever he goes but I don’t agree with everything he decide or propose or say. He is not perfect just anybody else but to me he’s just simple irreplaceable because of his quality, experience and brainy mind that simply makes him a true charismatic leader of this nation . I believe that to be a great respected and admired leader like Tun , you need to have a sharp critical mind who thinks further and beyond, strong principle that you will always adhered to at any cost of time and place and most importantly doing your best in owing up the responsibility given to you until it due.

However I do not put a sole blame on Azmin or even his counterpart , Tan Sri Muhyidin which is then the 8th Prime Minister of Malaysia in this political turmoil because PH is existingly already shaking with some major problems , whether inner conflicts among high leadership council that surrounds PKR as the capten party I called it for PH . Besides the backlashes PH had received from the rakyat because of their failure to fulfil the manifesto and certain measures in order to totally uphold the Rule of Law like they preached had eaten them from inside. This became worst adding that the economy of the nation is at stake because all of this instability happens. These thus had sparked or created some kind of negative perception of the Rakyat towards PH who was just 22 months old as a democratic elected government. There should be few others contributing factors that brought down PH to its knees.

Looking to the bright side of this highly dramatic political turmoil, there are many things to learn too. Since the shocking victory of Pakatan Harapan in PRU-14, there has been somekind of awakening of the rakyat whom started to grow concerns and interest in the government and country affairs or should I say the peoples have change to be a more patriotic and progressive Malaysians. They have been more outspoken, lashing their opinions, criticising the government for a betterment of the nation by getting to be acknowledged of their rights and important roles as the rakyat and exercising their rights of freedom of speech actively. Recently on the night PN government is formed, malaysians across social media are actively using the hashtag #notmypm and captions like ‘sad day for democracy’ and ‘democracy is dead’ as a protest against the new so called backdoor government.

#Notmypm seems a bit dreadful to me but a sad day for democracy is ok ! It is reaaly sad day for democracy when your previous trusted plus elected leaders betrayed your hope and mandate given. and It’s a good sign for democracy when the rakyat speaks up about it. However in line with the freedom of speech articulated in our Federal Constitution, I am of the opinion that the rakyat can cope their dissatisfaction, disappointment and emotional wrath whatsoever towards the government but they must still be done within the confinement of our law means through a lawful manner as permitted by law. Do contain your emotion and think twice before you scribbling on your tweet, post, dm, message and comment. And never attack our constitutional monarch institution and please do always respect them and refer to our constitution as the supreme law of the land in any matters or conflicts arise concerning a national interest like this one. As for PH, I think this a good reset button for them to detoxify themselves from all the traitors plus keep focusing and strengthening their national reform agenda.

For me, this Perikatan Nasional government is a legal government of Malaysia formed within the confinement of the constitution through the exercise of the discretionary power of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong. BUT, the government today undoubtfully still forever will be is formed by the acts of some politicians deemed to be immoral in the eyes and ears of the public, trying to deny and shut down the valid established democracy of the 9th May 2018 before it’s supposed expired date. However, rather than taking this turn of event as a sign that democracy is dead, I prefer to be optimistic by believing in good faith that this most dramatically prolonged political crisis of our Malaysia will surely make our democracy grows more maturedly for years to come for the sake of the betterment of ours & the nation’s future. Personally I'm giving Tan Sri Muhyidin a chance to lead the nation now. Remember that the peoples are watching you Perikatan Nasional. Malaysia Tanah Tumpahnya Darahku !
